Edge - F75 - how do you compare them ?

I am very interested on the Edge, it seems one of the best kept secret on detecting.
I know that F75 is a king, but I would like to understand if the difference in price is worth the money.
My usual targets are on the first 10 inches in medium mineralized soil, amongst a lot of trash (foil, iron).
Edge or F75 ?

Dan

I bought the Edge a week ago. Been testing it in my test garden and in my cellar. Went detecting twice. Overall, I like it, depth is decent. Have the 8" coil. In my test garden it will ID coins down to 6" max. In Disc mode, doesn't pick up a dime buried 7" , only in All metal. ID's the 6" penny and 6" quarter in Disc mode. Target separation (using a large rusty nail) seems pretty good, maybe a little better than my Cortes, depending how I had the nail and the coin placed, sometimes the Cortes did better to indicate that a coin was there near the nail. The nail was always raised above the coin and off to one side. The two detectors are about the same, but I might prefer the Edge because of the 4 tones.

Your right about the I.D. on the edge after about 6 to 7 inchs the id starts to bounce around in the numbers but it still will give a good tone so you will know its a deeper coin
most of the time the numbers are a little lower by a number or two and jump up and down by those few digits but like i said the tones a dead giveaway,
I can't say on the f75 as I don't own one just my imput on the edge hope this helps

The ID Edge is far better around hot rocks than the F75. Not that the F75 is bad, it's just the ID Edge isn't bothered by them at all.

The ID Edge is a better hunter in fresh disturbed soil that the F75. Again, it's not that the F75 is bad there in that environment, it's just that the ID Edge does a better job in the fresh disturbed soil.

Sounds like the Edge has the edge

I'm testing out my new Edge tomorrow, I think it's going to be a great machine from everything I've read. It was killer on my air tests today and very sensitive to small pieces of gold jewelery that some of my other machines don't see.

I know a local seasoned hunter that's had great success with his Edge, whereas he and I had similar (not so great) results with the C$ in our area, and the good news is that with the C$ Sunray probe I can use my 6" and 10.5" C$ coils on the Edge too

Thank you !
I have a Compadre, a DFX, just bought a T2 and looking for an Edge.
The DFX will be sold after my beach holidays, then I will do a head to head comparison between T2 and Edge to decide the winner.
I have bought a T2 because it was a bargain, the F75 costs too much.
