One of the Edmonton Garrett Gals from work took the challenge to hunt a snow hill after work in -20 temperatures with a SE wind. She wrapped up the ACE 250 up for warmth, and it worked like a charm. She found her first Toonie (2 dollar coin), then found a second one. John-Edmonton got skunked with the toonie finds tonite. :(

I tried my darnest to come up with one of those toonies....no such luck. However, I did find a very rare snow-butterfly in the snow. My first. :)

Below are my finds from tonite also using the ACE 250.....

Nice finds. I am still amazed on how well the 250 performs in any conditions that you have put it though. At -20 temputures and the 250 still even works!!

Alright!:clapping:Nice clad haul!:thumbup:Cool butterfly! Or cold, rather!:biggrin:Congrats to her for findin' that $2 coin. I can't believe she showed up "The Master":please: Happy Hunting!:)

You may not have found those toonies but your finds were otherwise very good !
Oh Oh the competition is coming !

wow nice finds, you both did well..

I know from several years ago, using the GTA 500 Ultra that the screen would slow down and lose it's intensity at around -10 to -15 C/14 to 5 F. But I always use a hot pac on the Ace when it gets close to freezing, so the liquid in the screen never gets to the ambient temperature. It hasn't shown any signs of slowing down yet.

I see you got some people on the "Garrett snow team" now. I love it! Nice report.

Hmmm, I just got the itch again. Maybe I'll try your hot pack set up as it will be around -9 tommorow.
