Was up around 118th street in OC MD. Should have tried up this way the week before. Bill did not cut much at the inlet side but moved a lot of sand 115 blocks north of the inlet. The life guards pointed out where the sand was before and after Bill and that Danny was moving sand back. Sunday was better than Monday. On Sunday, at low tide I marked the sand line on a big pole that was on the beach. On Monday low tide had to move about three inches of sand away to get to the mark.
Very little trash. Spent the entire time with the Sand Shark. Talked to a gentleman from Connecticut who was using a Sovereign GT with a big coil. The Sand Shark and Sovereign talked to each other and we couldn't detect closer together than 30 to 40 feet or so. He had a few coins as did I. Both were only finding the coins fairly faint and deeper. Not much trash, not much of anything else.
Had fun, only dug about 10 hair pins. The only bottle caps and pull tabs found were walking from the parking lot going across the dry sand to the wet sand. Other than that crossing, all the hunting was in the wet sand and water.
Picture is everything except the hair pins.
