I need to get out to the park, but first I need to repair the brakes on my old Ford F250.We would appreciate a few post about your searches and finds.Good Luck HH Ron

I'm heading out for a few hours of hunting time when I get off the forum here, so if I do any good I'll post something about it. It's real hot and sunny today so I plan on hunting in the shade under a large tree and just digging pretty much every signal in the hopes of a masked coin or a gold ring. Can't stand hunting in the sun on really hot days so I head for the biggest tree, or hunt in the woods and that usually keeps me cool. Gearing up to do some water hunting with the GT in the next few weeks or so as it's the start of swimming season around here.

No big plans for Memorial day for me. A few beers (probably more than a few :beers: ) with the neighbors and muching down a few burgers is about it.

Critter, planning a couple of short hunts before I go to Virginia. My brother Kevin and I are going to a comp hunt around the Roanoke area.My mother is in Lynch burg and I'm there for a visit also.My brother was telling me he had a couple of excellent sites lined up,but I explained any park will be great just to get a visit and hunt in, doesn't get any better.Critter I may take the Ohio turnpike on my trip, drive right by your area. HH Ron

No hunting for me for a few days unless my buddy picks me up. I was just headed off a bit ago to do some hunting when I put on the brakes and my left front brakes started grinding. DARN! :rage: They didn't even squeek a few days ahead of time like brakes normaly due with the wear pin that is meant to tell you the pads are getting down to bare metal. It would have been nice to get a warning like that for a few days so I could gear up for doing the job. No big deal. Done plenty of brake jobs on my vehicles over the years. I plan to keep it cheap and just throw new pads on that side without replacing the rotor or having it turned. Then in another week or so I'll throw some pads on the other front wheel too. That is, I won't replace or turn the rotors unless they look thrashed. Just can't afford that kind of cash outlay right now so I hope I don't have to throw new ones on.

I'll be asking my two friends if they can pick me up for our hunt tomorrow morning. Otherwise I guess I'll just fix the brakes in the morning since there won't be anything else to do.

Thanks Ron. I hope you and everyone else has a great weekend. Thanks to our Vets! I'll be posting pics of something from the weekend. HH. Matt
