Eric, Did you ever write that book?

Wirechief

New member
I looked way back in the postings and you mentioned writing a book or two, have you done that yet? CU later Eric. Wirechief.

Good one Wirechief. We need to keep hassling him, because I fear that the bible verse he quoted the other day could refer to him, ( Ecclesiastes 9:11,12 ) as it could with any of us. How sad if that priceless, lifetimes accumulation of insight and understanding into pulse metal detection were to end up in the dust.

Maybe Eric needs a scribe? Perhaps when Reg retires, or hits the motherload he'll provide the means. Certainly with the GS5 launch it'll be out of the question for a while.

Cheers kev

Hi Kev and thank you for your response,it's very nice to meet you. That is what I was thinking today also. It would be ashamed for that kind of knowledge of PI technology to be lost! Of course the man comes first and the trouble he goes to just in passing along a wee bit of what he knows is greatly appreciated. I hope Eric is around for a long time like we all hope for but it would be nice if he were able to put things on paper.Maybe this will encourage Eric to go forward with a book soon. I have just recently taken an interest in the electronics and theory of these instruments, especially after reading some of Eric's posts. Well CU later Kev and God Bless!Wirechief.

Hi Wirechief and Kev,

For the last 10 years (at least) I have been hoping to find the time to write a book on the theory and practice of PI. Unfortunately, there are always new developments to look into and production of existing designs to organise. Got two very interesting development projects on the books at the moment. One problem is that treasure and nugget detectors are only part of the picture. I also do a considerable amount of work in industrial and special applications.

One day, I will sit down and write, but quite when that will be is hard to say. One thing though, until that time, this forum and one or two others, is a good repositary for PI knowledge, which can be saved and printed out, for reference.

Eric.

Your right Eric and I have been going way back and printing out as much as I can. But keep the book in mind and I will be the first in line to buy it! Thank you Eric. Wirechief.

Howdy,
Yep I think we need to stop and count our blessings.
We can't ask a book questions and get a reply, not yet anyway!

Cheers
Kev.
