I finally stoped the pulsing in my SC-6 PI.The dept had droped to about 3" on a US nickel,at one time I had dept to 15" with 10" coil on a nickel while PI was pulseing.later made some adjustment to get dept back up to 13".TP-3 was high as I lowered it,PI stoped working. all power was under 1-1/2 volts.+5 and -5 was down low.
when I short pin 2 and 3 together on IC 4066, CS will work.+5 and -5 volts are OK.but PI will only come on after I short pin 2 and 3.on 4066-IC.Might be some kind of saturation problem.
IC 4066 appears to controll battery check, and has influence on other parts of PI.Cannot tell with out a print on it.
Will you post the section of CS-6 print that covers the operations of 4066 IC.IT will be most help full.
