On May 27. You instructed Russ,on 555 timer how to get 50/50 power supply.you said to put a resistor between pin 7 and pin 2/6.also a resistor from supply to pin 7.If I am right pin 7 is collector pin 1 is emitter in 555,is this a feedback, how large a resistor.Did you parall it or put it in series.I am teaching myself electronics, so if this sounds dum its OK.

Hi Frank,
Best thing for understanding a device like the 555 is to get a book on the subject, or there may be some information on the Net. I've got two books which I have had for many years and they are probably out of print, or have been revised. One is "110 IC Timer Projects", and the other "IC 555 Projects".
Pin 7 is labelled Discharge, pin 2 Trigger, and pin 6 Threshold.
