Eric, what's the smallest coil the Goldquest can handle?

Eric,
The reason for this would be for locating small nuggets or large flakes of gold in the walls of Ancient River Deposits. I'm currently using a Falcon Induction Balance detector that uses a 1" Dia. coil, but it's use is limited by the presence of black sand masking the signal from a piece of gold. So if I could make a 4" or smaller coil with the Goldquest with it's short delay time that would solve the problem.
Reg and Bill please feel free to jump in on this one. I am primarily a Drywasher out in the Northwestern Mojave Desert and so this would be extremely usefull to me and others. I'm not knocking the Falcon Probe, but it's more usefull for checking ore (as in locating a paystreak in a hardrock mine) than locating flakes or nuggets in an Alluvial Deposit.
much appreciated,
Randy Seden

There is a probe availble for the Goldquest SS. It works as a seprate coil. Aprox. 1.5" in dia.
It uses the Goldquest SS circuit to power it, so we still have the 10uS. minimum pulse delay if needed.
I have a photo I can email you. I just haven't had time to put it on my web page.
Mr. Bill
