EuroTek Pro....first impressions...

Detector looks nice. Control box sits high and buttons easy to reach with the thumbs. Information on screen was very easy to see. My area has lots of electrical interference but was able to do some air tests with the sens on '10' and '0' discrimination. No headphones, volume at '20'.

Quarter on ground was able to detect it at a height of 9"-10".

Zinc Penny on ground 8"-9".

Very stable unit. Depth equal to many detectors which costs twice as much. Taking it to a school field where my Omega had to be run at at about 50% sens due to the interference.

the Euro-Tek Pro, like your Omega, is a two-filter model and you can hamper performance if you sweep too quickly, especially in higher mineralized environments. I am an Omega fan and if you're in an EMI challenged area, where you have to cut the gain back to about '50,' then you might have a bit of noise, but I have found my Euro-Tek Pro to do pretty well. I wish they had a unit that blended the Omega's GB functions with the E-T's Volume adjustment to quiet down the iron range responses. That's what I like best about it.

Good luck today!

Thank you, Monte.

It's a good all around unit, but being used to Shadow X5s and Minelabs, I find depth lacking somewhat. However, for the price, it's amazing.
