Eurotek Pro Pinpointer Nulls

I've noticed that the pinpointer on my Eurotek Pro nulls quite a bit and that I will have to release the button and try again sometimes more than once. It's really not that much of a problem because it is really easy to pinpoint without the pinpointer, but it is annoying when trying to check a deeper target. Was just wondering if anyone else was having this problem. I really love this detector and would like to know why this is happening. Thanks

Could be a push pad issue, call them or send it in.

In most soils, if you push the button and then lift the searchcoil, the audio threshold will drop out with a consequent loss in sensitivity to targets. And if you push the button and then lower the searchcoil, the audio volume will increase.

I'm guessing that this is what you're observing. It's normal for machines that don't have manual or computer-assisted ground phase balance adjustment.

You could be trying to pinpoint too close to the target or are over a target that is close by. I know when you pinpoint close to the target it desensitizes the machine. HH

There was a problem with my pinpointer and it had to be sent in for warranty repair.

Got my ETP back after 12 days at First Texas. The membrance switch had to be replaced and now the pinpointer works like it should.
