I've had a ETP for a few months now and like it but today I made my first trip to a small park in our town.It is very trashy and the numbers were all over the place.tones all over the place.Kinda flustrating.I was running 40 disc 7- 8 sensitivity and 11 on volume. Is there a better setting to hunt a trashy park? Thanks in advance.HH

Depends on your targets. If you want to give up small gold but stop all the foil hits disc at 50-55. If you are ok with only zinc or higher you can disc up to 69 and 70+ is high tone or disc up to 79 so 70-79 is vco for you zinc targets and still high tone for copper/silver above 80. If I'm cherry picking I would do the latter. then you can only investigate good sounding vco tones if you are interested in zincolns or have a site with indians. small silver and large gold will hit in the zinc range as well. VCO at least gets you a good feel for target shape and size.

Get a 5" coil , the sound of it the place your hunting is loaded with trash ,
