Hi Uncle Willy, I was just wounding if the DD coils do a better job of hunting? They are to put down a wiper sweep i thank. Can you or someone explain. Thanks Flintstone
 
DD coils emit a narrow wedge-shaped signal the full length of the coil and detect at either end as deep as anywhere else along the coil..You don't miss much with a DD but due to this signal configuration you can only detect side to side and not forwards and backwards as you can with other coils. But DD's love bottlecaps and don't discriminate nearly as well as a concentric. They are great for covering lots of ground and really cut through mineralization...
