Ever hear a song that sounds great and then ya really hear it and...

Pete in MI

New member
it brings tears to your eyes or gives you a revelation of something God wants you to know.

For me this song is like that. I first heard it and thought of it as a close friend singing it to me and that he was giving me support. Listen to it at this url:

http://www.box.net/shared/7ljlh54rac

Then listen to it again. This time it is a friend singing it to you, That Friend Is JESUS,

Hear are the words:

I Know All About Scars
Mark Bishop
Possum Run Music/Centergy Music

Verse 1

You've always been there for everyone else.
You've always been brave and strong.
But lately I've noticed that your smile has faded,
And I can tell something is wrong.

I've heard the prayers of those who love you.
I haven't forgotten your pain.
So if you've been searching for someone to talk to,
I promise that I can relate.

Chorus

Cause I've been broken, I've been betrayed.
I've been rejected, I've felt afraid.
I've cried out to God, "I don't know where you are."
I know the pain you're going through.
And I can more than promise you,
I'll do what it takes to mend your broken heart.
I've been right there where you are.
I know all about scars.

Verse 2

Life can be filled with love and laughter.
It's beauty surrounds us each day.
I used to stand and stare at the sunset.
And I used to watch children play.

But I've known the pain of losing a close friend,
I've heard angry words from my foes.
And still I remember that cross on a hillside.
So take it from someone who knows.

Repeat Chorus

Bridge

And everything you're feeling now, I've been feeling too.
And I'm the first one to know, now that I'm a part of you.

Repeat Chorus

There is more to it. I heard it sung by The Bishops.

Very very good words there. Thank you Pete for introducing that song to me!

If you don't mind. Here's one I've been listening to lately that also will bring tears to my eyes.

until I came back to God and Jesus became my Savior. Thanks Brother for this. Never heard it before. With God I am loved like I never knew love before.

Thank you, Pete and NT....I needed both of those songs, today, as old wounds of 20 plus years ago have reopened and I know Jesus loves me but needed to hear that He does! I crawled up into God's lap last night and cried and told him all about my troubles, asking why He hadn't done something like He said, Vengeance is Mine saith the Lord, but to me everything seems to be the same as it was before, during and after the divorce and, yet, I know He cares but He also cares for those who hurt me and wants them saved!

This is the scripture God's Holy Spirit gave to me....when I opened my Bible.... which is highlighted in green! Isaiah 29 v 24 They also that erred in spirit shall come to understanding, and they that murmured shall learn doctirne! I know God is patient and long-suffering but my flesh isn't...sooo pray for me that I will serve and keep serving HIm in the capaicty that He has called me forth to do....as Christmas and Thanksgiving are really difficult for me to get through because of depression and much hurt that I've had to get through...the same as most others have and who've come to the Lord because of those hurts and pains deep in the broken-hearts of mankind! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for being my Savior and the Savior of the world! Amen! Ma Betty
