It didn't take long for me to get the hang of the unusual sounds that Explorer 2 was giving me as a
response to certain detected items in my local ancient park....and pinpointing with the Platypus coil and Periscope probe was unique and downright
enjoyable. I found items at 3 to 5 inches deep,
(including a 1964 Rosey), on edge, under iron and rusted bottle caps. I also found a gold plated
college lapel pin....It is slow hunting but very
promising, to say the least. I also got a fairly
decent 1905 IH. I'm still learning about the many features of these units, and when I come up with
a real good method of detection for this area, I'll
definitely post it...The potential is indeed
promising.
