Is the Vomume a critical adjustment in setting up this unit , If i dont turn up the Volume will i lose Deep stuff???
I Like the ID thing but my Eyers cant take it , I mite have one, Thank You to all the Excal Experts, Mickfin

Set volume to where you are ok with it,,,,I just had a new coil put on mine and now the volume will blast you out of your headphones

Will I loose depth if I dont have the Volume Hi, Dos it tune the gaine or something??????? Thanks
Mic,

n/t

it will not effect depth..........sometimes i even turn it down more when i find none stop clad.......

The volume is only target volume, if you turn it down too far you will not hear the deep targets over the threshold, i usually run full but on ocasions on a scale 1 to 10 no less than 8.
Try it next time you find a deep target on full volume and see where it fades to threshold

I used to run it wide open, but have since backed off to about 3/4 volume and I believe it helped to smooth things out some. On the NY Excal it cannot be run wide open, as it will blow your eardrums out, LOL!
