Excelerator EQ2

I have not tried my second coil out yet ( the 12.5 " EQ2 pro ) Its waiting for warmer weather before it comes out of the box. I am looking for input from those that have used them and what you like and didnt like about it. I am still learning with the stock coil on the ExII and hope to break this one out to search some pasture land fairly soon.( need the frost to leave) Last question do you think it would pick up a manhole 3 feet deep? Its a strecth but its a big chunk of iron to walk over. I will turn the iron mask all the way down for that one.
Thanks for all input.

Hey jimb, a 8" coil will pick up a manhole at 3' on the Explorer or just about any decent detector for that matter. A manhole cover is a huge target.
I've used the 12.5 EQ2 Pro and liked it for coverage, it's pretty sensitive to small brass and lead shot so whatever you're hunting for in non ferrous range should not be a problem. It wouldn't be my coil of choice for trashy areas with a lot of targets close together but makes a great open field or beach cruiser. Never seen to much difference in overall depth over the stock 10" coil, but again, the extra coverage is nice when needed.
