Excell pinpoint not working...

got out with a friend to detect.First time out with the used Excell and no sound when I pressed the pinpoint pad.Tried it several times and nothing.Anyone else experience this?? Switched to the 1260x for the next two hrs and found less then a buck. <img src="/metal/html/cry.gif" border=0 width=40 height=15 alt=":cry"> When I got home, the excell pinpoint worked perfectly,Hmmm..... <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">
 
I've noticed that the touchpads are a little slow to respond. When I use the PP function, I hold the button down and wait for the disploy to show 00. If it doesn't show 00, I'm not holding it down in the "right spot". Then I pinpoint.
