I got out for the first time today with my Excel. My very first hit was the only keeper from the site. Let's here it for the Infantry! I really enjoyed that lightweight little powerhouse! I thought we were gonna have to walk home though! Right Allen? Next time, YOU DRIVE!

very nice looking button! Any idea of the age? I don't know much about buttons but military buttons are special! Just don't let that Excel come in contact with rain drops! HH, Mike

I didn't really care if we found anything or not today because i've never had so much fun getting out of a hunting site. We have been a lot of places together but he never took me mud boggin until today. When you were bustin through those neck high saw briars I was just hoping there wasn't a stump in there somewhere. We made it out and it was FUN!!!!!!!! (been to the car wash yet??)

CONGRATULATIONS Tony! That looks like an older Infantry Insignia, and my guess would be WWI or older. Tony, do you know how old it is? Curious minds want to know. HH, NamVetLesTreasureSeeker

The piece I found with the Excel is an Enlisted Man's Infantry collar insignia. I believe it is WWII era. What's really weird is that my very 1st target with my CZ7A was this......a WWII Artillery Insignia! Kinda spooky huh?

Hey Tony, That looks alot older than WWII, because the item you found has a grayish lead tone. Where as the WWII Insignias were made of brass, just like they have been ever since. Possibly, yours could be either WWI, or maybe even Spanish-American War Insignia. Just a guess. HH, NamVetLesTreasureSeeker

I have no idea! The place dates back to the late 1800's. Who knows? I was just happy I found something the first time out with the Excel! I was really stunned when it was the very first signal!
