Exp II depth

Hey, GraveDigger, are you trying to build sandcastles and detect at the same time, lol? Looks like some of my holes. BTW, what kind of shaft is that I see on your EXII?

I like it. Like the way you waterproofed the unit too. Is it hard to read the display or do you even use it in the water? If I had to guess, the next machine Minelab comes out with will be something like what you've done, a waterproof version of the EX II. Have a good one.

Hi,

I would like to know more about your waterproofing as well. I have an Explorer and a Fisher 1280X. I rarely ever use the Fisher. (Living over 200 miles from the Gulf beaches may have something to do with that!) I may be leaving the Fisher with my son who lives in League City, TX in a month or so, and am looking for a way to use the Explorer in wet environments. I have used it on beaches, but have been careful to stay out of the water.

My Explorer has an X1 probe attached that I LOVE! I did not see one in your photo. Do you use a probe, and if so, how do you waterproof the switch?

Thanks in advance for any info or advice!

Doug
