Experiment with my T" SE Upgrade

Today 25th March went to my "Buckle" field which on the last visit I found to be full of small and larger iron as well as the wanted items. So today I decided to try the FE setting of 2c which gives the sound of 2+ but you do not hear any of the iron but still can see the ferrous numbers.I searched for an hour still finding not ferrous items.Nothing major, buttons bits of lead and a copper alloy disc. The lead was a good depth and one non ferrous signal was way down in flint and stone I could not get down to it with my smaller spade. I made a note of the place so I can return. But I think I am going to need a probe when using this NEL Storm coil its very stable and deep seeking. It set it at 65 dis 0 then on to 2C. I intend to use 2c again soon.

That is interesting. Thanks for the info. I haven't tried the 2c tone yet.

Brian, some very interesting observations from using the new settings on the T2,the finding of lead is always a very good indication of early habitation of the site, are you finding any slight depth advantage over the stock coil or at the moment just happy with the extra ground coverage ??

Out again this weeknd on a site that has produced Bronze Age axe heads so will be using the SEF15x12 coil this time to gain extra depth on the possible bigger targets.

The Nel certainly goes deeper than the stock coil plus the extra ground cover. Thats why I used 2c as I was getting muliti signals with 2+ or Boost I still saw the Iron FE numbers in 2c but no sound on them much better.Time will tell how effective.
