Hi guys
I'm new to this detecting hobbie I've just bought an explorer 2 for a steal of a price only trouble is it has no Manuel so could any one be kind enough to point me in the right direction as to how to operate and program it and help and id be most grateful many thanks

learn............and that was as far from the truth as you could imagine, unless you think turning it on and holding the button down for a few seconds is hard. It will reset to the factory presets and off you go. I found 1940 pennys in 5 minutes of getting mine. I would have found the pennies faster, but it took a few minutes to walk to my neighbors yard. Its bad out of the box. Some of the guys here can steer you to a used manual I'm sure. Might even be able to download it from Minelab website. I finally switched to ferrous and could locate a buried dime at close to 10 inches within 5 days of getting mine. Its a cadillac, and when you are ready, the Mercedes/E-trac is waiting.:minelab:

Look on Minelabs website, it might be possible to download it?
Otherwise MLO has 'em to download.

yes if you have the explorer2 the new sabisch book for the explorer2 and etrac is a must have. it will help you learn your explorer much faster than trying to read the manual and figure it out yourself. you learn so many tips and tricks that would take much longer to learn on your own. i have the book and wouldnt part with it for anything.

:detecting:Hey CoolWill99,

Here's all the help you need: http://www.minelab.com/consumer/page.php?section=269 This is the website for all the Minelab metal detectors that were made and are being made today. Good luck.

Like one of the guys said the new Sabisch book is a good help.
I have been only beach hunting but plan on doing some land hunting at parks and some schools with my SE.
I might be posting a question or 2 myself pretty soon.
