I know the feeling of wasted years. Started with the top of the line Whites and graduated to the Explorer XS and have never looked back. When we started there were only 2 of us with Minelabs, now everyone has them and it's pretty tough hunting but the stuff is still out there.

The stuff is still there. It's just a matter of being thrilled with coming home with one silver coin versus 3 to 5 per hunt like we used to. I too hunted with top of the line Whites for years then moved on. I now go back and forth between the ex2 and my Fisher CZ70. Both are excellent machines and both like deep park silver coins. Can't decide yet whether or not to try the new SE. I am going to keep my eye on the posts and see what others think before jumping on.
Good Luck hunting

Thanks for the picture it sure makes a big difference to see the find rather than try the image method from a picureless psot. Thanks Crow-duck
