Explorer finds from the last 2 days

I haven't posted anything in ages as I'm trying a new stratedgy this year. I'm one of those few who own both an Explorer and DFX and I love them both. I decided this year to go for nothing but newer clad coins to see how much I can find in a season. When the ground frezes in the Winter, I'll cash in the coins and plan on buying the largest denomination gold coin I can afford. When it comes to finding shallow, surface clad the DFX can't be beat. After nearly 4 months of digging clad coins (total stands at $215.00) I couldn't take it any more. Charles told me the dry conditions have quieted the iron in the ground and he dug some nice coins the other day. I dusted off the explorer and headed for my favorite ghetto park. Since Monday I managed to dig 8 Indian head cents (1865-1881-1898-1903-1904-1906-1907) and one I can't date because it is fused to a 1909 wheat cent, 5 Buffalo nickels (1917-1919-1926-1927-192:geek: 1 V-nickel (1907), a 1920 mercury dime and an 1881 Great Britian Victorian penny. Also found a nice 14K two tone gold wedding band. Man, I forgot how deep I have to dig to retrieve these older coins with the Explorer. My digger put a nice blister in the center of my palm. I'll probably head back to the schools and parks to boost the clad total but it was nice to dg some oldies for a change.
