SmartFind screen with close attention payed to tones and reference of cursor movement.
As little Iron Mask as you can tolerate. (As close to a open screen as tolerable with Iron masked out)

Volume 10
Gain 8

Fast Off
Barely audible Threshold
Been running same way since I got my first XS in 2000

Mike I appreciate your response!! Will give her a shot!!

Mike I am curious why you use ferrous over conduct? Does silver sound sweeter using it?

I use mine similarly except with iron mask at 13 and conductive tones. For field hunting where I dig all non-ferrous hits, I use ferrous tones and an open (no) iron mask screen.
