General Rules
The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.
Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.
Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.
Only Forum Members Registered for 90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.
Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:
- Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
- Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
- Do not put links to eBay.
- Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
- Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.
Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Wow you must have been hard up for cash!
I asked this guy if the explorer was sold waited 2 hours no response...when he got back to me said "no"..told him I was on way to work (work midnights)would pay in morning and in the mean time to check my references...gave him my ebay address and asked if he took paypal... Then during the middle of the night he loaded up my personal message box with messages saying it was sold...not one message, not two messages, not three messages but four! Probably would have kept going but at that point my personal message box was full! Watch out for people like this!

Moose57 is a perfectly good guy. He is new to computers, new to forums and has only made (9) Posts as of yesterday in his whole 23 days history on the FindMall. Greg...give the guy a break.. you are a Senior Member who we all look up to. Many of us read your thousands of posts and enjoy your knowledge, sharing and insight.
Yes, you were the 1st to post on here. As soon as I noticed his post I immediately sent him a private email and told him I would consider it SOLD. I left my # for him to call me. Then I went back to post on there that I had sent him a PM and seen you had posted. The phone rang and I never got to make my post. Plus if I did, then you would feel as if I was trying to take it from you.. Later on that evening he called me. I informed him I was a Dealer and a FindMall sponsor. We had a nice conversation and I learned quite a bit about him. He is new to computers, new to forums, but eager to learn.
Moose57 (Kevin in OH) is a really nice guy and I have no issues with him what-so-ever.
The reason you probably received more than 1 message... he was trying to be polite and let everyone know it was sold. He probably hit send a few to many times, just like I have seen on a rare occasion...you make a mistake. I too have done it on accident and so I know a new person who is trying to sell their 1st detector on here can easily make the same mistake.
Greg- Most all of us look up to what you have to say and so when you tell everyone to "Watch out" to someone as new as he is, some folks take your words literally and he will never be able to move anything on here. Please think about it for a bit and check the person out, their history and all.. You'll usually see or understand a reason for the issues there.
I hope everyone who reads this will understand, that on occasion 1st Timers can make a mistake.

That is simply not true Gerry...he told me the machine was not sold... I asked him and he actually replied more then 2 hours after my post and said it was not sold... I told him I worked midnights and would arrange payment with him as soon as i got home in the morning I even asked him if he could just give me till noon so I had time to set up payment and go over exactly what came with the detector.... He never mentioned another buyer at that time! Also mentioned at that time when I asked for details that the headphones would not come with the deal... I then asked if he accepted paypal.......lesson learned though.... I will find another one...but my statement stands sorry... If it is true you talked to him right away on the phone which I am not doubting he should have told me he had a buyer...he said he did not have another offer.... I will not go back and forth in here...I am done with this....and will not reply again...new or not it was handled in a completely poor manner....I have a right to tell the truth...period......

Me personally, I give the 1st person who offers up the chance. You posted on Classifieds and I sent a PM...Who is 1st????
I know of some folks who post something for sale and then will only deal with those they remember from other deals. If 5 people want it, then a new person will go with his gut feeling or someone who provides additional info. As I mentioned before... I informed him I was a Sponsor on FindMall. Nothing against you my friend...

Computer experience not-with-standing, first deal made should be honored, between ANY parties.
Funds transfer is an incidental detail that frequently may not be accomplished in the middle of the night.
Accepting, or even considering subsequent offers once a deal is made is bad form.
A man should be good for his word.
Most recently I made a deal that was accepted, only to have the other party fizzle.
Bad form.
I'll just need to move on...
A doubloon sent to Davy Jones may not be forever lost...
I can't see much keeping Gregg down for long!
...Perhaps local clubs could be employed to facilitate these long distance deals...
