looking at the explorer se pro for my next machine, how is the recovery time between targets, is good targets surrounded by trash a problem
how about highly mineralized soil can the explorer se pro handle it, pinpointing etc....:help:

We have to know what machine you are using somewhat. There will be some differences. You cant take the Explorers out and swing them like you are taking a walk, you have to slow down and push them along. If they hit a target... they hit it hard and on some trash they tend to hang on a bit, which could make you miss a target if you are moving too fast. I think they work very well in trash once you learn they are different machines. They are the only machines that ive used that you can just poke around with.... other machines tend to need more movement for proper filtering. People say they process slow, but if you open up the Iron Mask and move slowly thru trash you almost cant stand the target noise. I think they do a little better than most of the whites i used in bad soil.... thats my opinion. They are heaver than most. Pin Pointing.... now that takes some getting used to if you have been using a concentric coil that gets the target right in that tiny little hole every time. Once you hit a target you have to wiggle the coil toward you and get the target on the tip..... but then it right there or with in an inch or so depending on the depth. If you are used to a single frez machine you know they arent that great on the beach. The Explorers transition from the wet to dry sand with no problem. for the most part you can eliminate most of the EMI you are used to having and still get good depth. I think if you have the patience to put in a year of good learning there isnt a better machine out there that will produce a surprising amount of finds for you. Get yourself a good probe you will need it.

been hunting for about 10 years now, using gti2500 and gtax550 with great results on the beach and other places that I hunt in San Diego and in
Arizona when camping along the colorado river thanks for your information on the explorer se pro. Looking for a differant kind of detector
to start off the new year with this one sounded good on what I have read and heard about:cheers:

Being as you haven't gone thru the Explorer learning process yet you may want to check out the E-Trac also as over half the guys I know who hunted with Explorers are now swinging E-Tracs and like them better . Myself I'm just too cheap and set in my Explorer ways to make the switch .
