Explorer SE, pulls out some deep oldies from hunted hard site in Massachusetts. Need help with identity of finds

I committed myself to run my SE, in all metal, ferrous tones, and iron mask on. I went to an old picnic grove area over here in Northeast Massachusetts, which has been hunted many many times in the past. The coin which is dated 1777 and the size of a US dime was 9 plus inches deep. The belt buckle was about 7 inches deep and has a patent date of Dec 10 1879. I was wondering if anyone can help me ID these finds and any possible value. I am starting to have Faith in my Explorer SE.
Thanks in advance
HH
