Hello Folks;
Got a few questions if you folks will jump in and answer for me would appreciate it greatly. The new SE is very exciting to me but need to find out these things to help make a better judgement call.
First I cant find if the detector uses the same number of frequencies as the EXII. It says multi freq but have they kept the number the same or added or reduced the number.??
The new coils for the SE from mine lab are apx 8 and 10 inch are they both the new generation of coil I see pics of the 10 and it is streamlined but is the 8 or is it the old configuration?? Minelab has told us the accs such as coils and I assume probe will interchange with the old one (this is a great plus).
The speed is supposed to be much faster. How much faster can you swing the coil.? At times the ex ii is very slow I assume the coil going over trash with a coin next to it, it recovers faster and catches the coin where the EX II had problems and was still nulled out when you went over the coin.??
It is supposed to be more user friendly. What are the things that are more user friendly. ? We had a very very nice gent on here help us with the user friendly part of the EX II (Erikk) and we went from having ours forsale to getting quite comfortable with it. It was actually, at least to us it was the instructions that were not user friendly not the machine. I am reading a print off the internet of the new book and it seems better than the old book. But is the machine actually more user friendly?? This is where we had EX II troubles. Erikk had us go a more advanced mode to where we could get rid of more garbage sounds and work our way up to more targets being accepted instead of the beginner smartfind the factory has you start at and it was MUCH Easier. For a person with hearing problems erikk really helped out because beginner smartfind is really a noise problem to try and learn all at once.
Now anything anyone has found they like less in the Se than in the old EX II machine.??
One last question and forgive me for the long babble but this pertains to both detectors. If you set sens on say semi auto 16 with the line going around the number. It is my understanding it will find the best position be it 8 or 16 or , question is will it always stay 16 or lower??? It wont go above 16 sens if that is your setting will it??
Thanks so for all the help in the past and now and my appoligizies for babbling but a new machine needs checked out thoroughly before purchase for me.
Good Luck to All
