Explorer XS to Explore 2 Shaft Compatibility

Darrell

New member
My XS is dying a slow death and I'm thinking about replacing it with a Explorer 2. I've spent hours searching for the differences and I have a good understanding, but have a few questions.

1. I have most of my extra coils mounted on XS lower shafts. Will the XS lower shaft work on the Explorer 2 upper shaft?

2. When I bought a Sunray Probe for the XS I had a choice of a left hand mount or a right hand mount. I don't see that choice on the newer Explorers. So if I buy a Explorer 2 with the probe set up for a righty, do I turn the shaft 180 degrees so that I can have the probe switch on the right hand side of the detector?

Thanks.
Darrell

Darrell, on XS and 2 everything the same, just on explorer 2 they cut ted upper shaft in 45Angle to allow it go deeper in control panel, for more stability. but you cut your XS shaft in similar angle or use like on XS. good luck
