Looking at the specks I dont see much of a difference in the two modles. Is there anyone here who can tell me if there is a difference in operation or function? Anyone who has owned them both and can detect a marketable difference??
thanks for reading

Hi Ed,
In the digital mode the EX II has a dual digital display representative of an X/Y coordinate (Conduct/Ferous)while the EX XS has only a linear or single digital indication I believ of the conductivity scale.Supposedly the EX II has faster circuitry. Just recently I accidentally put it in auto sensitivity mode and began finding coins in a place that I and others have been pounding with Explorers for 3 years. I don't normally use auto sens but had on my XS when I first bought it years ago. It seems to adjust faster and slowing down seemed to bring out those hiders. Maybe I'm imagining things. I have not used my XS in about 3 years but had great luck with it. I use my II mainly now because it has my Sunray XS probe on it which makes it easier finding the target in the hole. I keep thinking that I'll pull out the XS some day to see if I notice any difference but I get to hunt so seldom that I hate to change and miss something.Hope this helps
Good Luck,
Chuck
