Explorer XS vs Explorer II

I just purchased a used XS, it'll be here around Friday. Can you guys tell me what the major differences are between the XS and II. I know about the different headphone jack and lower rod attachment but what about the circuitry and any noticable differences in disc, sens, and depth.
This will be my first attempt at using an Explorer model and I'm a little worried about the learning curve. The XS I bought comes withe the training video and the book by Andy Sabisch so those should help out a great bit. Any other advise?

Thanks,
Doc

I'm a recent new user of an Explorer II. Never had the XS, so I can't speak of the differences in depth, if any. But operationally I believe the chief difference is the addition of the Ferrous AND Conductive numeric representation in the Digital display mode. As for the legendary dreaded "learning curve", I find it to be hooey. I've done extremely well on my first two hunts with mine. I do have experience with several other machines, but the Explorer II was all new to me. You'll pick it right up.
