Explorers went u up to $1299

I checked kellyco and a few other sites today that sell minelab and the exploreres went up to $1300. What B*#(^#) I emailed minelab and bitched not that they give a crap. They are now over $400 higher than the DFX. They are good but not that great. I might be getting out of the minelab camp if white can make a better DFX. $1300 for a detector?????.......comon.....

If folks quit buying the Explorer II perhaps it will force them to reconsider the price. Supply and demand, if they can't sell them at that price they will have to lower the price just to make a sale. I am finally interested in purchasing an EXII but now I might just have to wait and see what happens to the price.

I agree that the price is a wee bit high now,I paid about $1100 about 3 months ago but I`ve already paid for it in finds and I`m still learning every time I go out.I have been lucky but I don`t think a DFX for $950 would have been paid off in the same time.I would still buy a good used EXII for $900 and get out there and reward yourself!

Hard to believe you detected $1100 in three months unless you were detecting in a bank or a public beach.

Second time out with permission to hunt a 200yr.old homesite I got a bracelet with 26 .10pt. diamonds,marcasite ring,2 earings not sure if their ruby all in the same hole!like I said lucky.Since have found a hanful of mercs&rosies,(2) seated dimes (1) barber,many wheats and IH`S (1) 18kt mens band.Still learning but thanks to many experianced users who help out here with their posts I am confident every time out with this detector.
I have enough goodies to pay for my machine in 3 months,the machine does what it supposed to do and I`ve been lucky,I was trying to say maybe go get a good used EXII instead of paying for a new unit.
