F-19 coils

I did read the post at http://www.findmall.com/read.php?37,2219454 but am a bit confused. One person said they didn't believe the F-5 coils would work well, but Fischers web site says they are compatible, along with gold bug series of coils, http://www.fisherlab.com/hobby/detector-searchcoils.htm (bottom half of page)
I see others on You tube using F-75 and Teknetics greek coils. All of the pin patterns are compatible. Anybody have a list of what is interchangeable? The reason I ask is I have a F-75 with the stock and 5" shooter coil. If they are compatible with my new F-19, I can use 3 different coils on 2 different machines.
The coils are just bundled wires, so why would they care what the frequencies were?

The F19 is compatible with DD searchcoils from the "Greek" ("Fratbros") series that are equipped with the screw-on connector. Everything else is "at your own risk". You're not likely to damage the machine, the risk is that the searchcoil will not work properly.

Searchcoils aren't "just bundled wires". They're the single most difficult-to-manufacture part of a good VLF metal detector.
