What kind of depth are you getting on average on dime and penny size coins.

I know it's subjective to settings and your dirt.. But an on average depth per hunt is all I am asking about.

have gotten a lot of pennies and dimes in the 5-6 inch range, sound good, hit hard. I think about 7 inches has been the deepest so far..

Looking to buy a NEL sharp shooter for the detector this spring..

It can go just about as deep as my F5 with stock coil. Past 6 inches, the depth, visual and audio identification gets kind of random on small coins though.

I live in northern texas with my 44 i can only run 3/4 sens due to falsing but i can do 7 , 8 inches if wet i can seem to get to 9 however that is with omega 8000 8 inch concentric coil havent put 44 coil on 44 yet

Elton,
If your ground likes concentric coils then F44 will go deep for you. The Jewelry mode audio isn't modulated and it will reach down and touch stuff if your ground and EMI lets you run a hot concentric coil. If your site doesn't like the Jewelry mode audio, then you have to switch to one of the modulated modes like coin or artifact or custom. I normally just go right to Custom.

The modulated audio modes let me run a higher sensitivity setting but they don't seem as deep as the non modulated Jewelry mode. This past year I have really gotten into the VCO audio for some reason and find myself using it more than I thought I would as as tone option on the F44.

The deepest target I have recovered with my F44 was a larger brass key that was a good two to three inches deeper than my digger at the bottom of some fill dirt.

If your ground doesn't like concentric coils, the 11" DD runs good on it.

The F44 really does well with good, higher ohm headphones. The cheaper, lower ohm headphones don't work as well with it due to the modulation, or at least I don't think so.
