F-70 & zinc pennies

Can't find any settings that will allow me to pick up the zinc cents except all metal, not that I interested in finding them. My problem is that Indian head pennies fall in the same range and can't pick them up either.
With dis. level at zero and notch at zero will not pick them up. Anything I can do?

You may have them notched out and don't realize it. Do a factory reset which will get you out of notch, if you are. HH jim tn

Well. Factory reset. Don't use notch. I run my F70 with disc 24 DE mode. Sens 70 to 80 3H tone no notch. Some IH will also ring in at pull tab to zinc. I've found one this year at 44 to 46 pull tab. Just don't use the notch. If your relic hunting turn the sense to 6 then bring it up after a little bit till your comfortable with your settings. Oh yeah thresh -3 or higher if it will let you. I'm still new with mine but its getting better every time. HH tim.
