F 75 LTD:clapping::clapping:

I unwraped and set up my new LTD last night and then this morning promptly took it outside to check it on my 9" deep, slightly slanted dime that was planted right after getting my first generation F 75, a little over 2 1/2 years ago now. My originial F 75 has been hitting this dime for nearly two years now, but not with good vdi and usually the tones are broken. Over time, though, the hits do seem to be improving, with age. Anyway, in de the LTD hit the dime much the same, but in bp there was a pretty vast improvement. Definately a vdi reading and tone that I would dig anywhere.

One of the things I noticed right off was the sturdy feel of the LTD. The screen is solid, cam locks good and tight and battery springs tight and solid.

I put the small DD coil on and went to a school yard tot lot for about 20 minutes. In the last two days we have had close to 5" of rain and today the temp. is dropping with a brutal north wind. I did manage to recover 2 quarters right next to a equipment pole, 2 dimes, 3 nickels, 3 zincs and a junk ring with a stone, in addition to some tabs and erasers. I can tell I am going to love the 5" DD coil for hunting in the trash. If the weather will settle down some, I want to get the LTD out in the "wild" and give it a good workout. My first impressions, though, are all:):) HH jim tn

Personally I think the battery springs are too easy to push side ways when putting batteries in.

It is a pretty impressive detector. With the small coil can readily get closer to the play ground poles and the mesh re-enforced sidewalks than with any other detector and coil combination I've used.

Hope your ground doesn't freeze any time soon. I'm hoping for some thawing at the moment and enjoying the posts from you all who can get out and dig.
