F19 silver duo

I headed out early this morning for a quick search through a local park. This park has a lot of history attached to it as it was once the land of the first founders. Unfortunately it is littered with old and new bottle caps, pull tabs, foil and recent pennies. If there is one thing I appreciate about the F19 it is the ability to filter the noise to a comprehensible level through the use of FeTone and V-Break. This is how I found the silver dime through the multitude of pennies and bottle caps. The face is terribly faded and I can't quite make out the year. 191? The last number is a mystery. On the reverse side the face of king George V is nearly perfect. The rest of the finds (pennies excluded) were found in a tot lot that was built into the park and that includes the tiny .925 ring.

I also used the Detech 10 X 5 for the first time on the F19. It seems to work well. It's not as deep as the 11 DD which I expected but it seems to be sensitive to very small items and I can get quite close to the metal structures without sending the detector in overload.

I mentioned this before but I keep wishing I could push the gain further on the F19. With the gain at 100 in discrimination zero, it's so quiet that I sometimes have to double check on a nearby metal object to make sure the detector is on and working properly. Oh and I miss the multiple tones of the F5 when I want to cherry pick for silver.

Look's like you and that f19 are hooking up quite nicely. Two silver finds in one day is awesome dfmike, always some new and interesting finds you come up with there in Canada.

Thanks still looking. I like the F19 so far. I haven't used it that much yet so I can't really do a definitive review on it. It's similar to any recent Fisher/Tek machine but I'm starting to notice significant differences between it and the F5 which I am more accustomed to. I wish I had a super machine with the best of both.

I think the F5 is a better all purpose machine. The F19 is more specialized but can still find the goods.
