F19 - V-Break

Howdy folks... so, am wondering, without having my machine handy right now to check out...

The question being.... Does V-Break "override" the Volume setting?

So, if Settings are:

Assuming Iron IDs are in 1 - 40 as the F19 sees it

Assuming Disc = 0

Volume = 10

V-Break is 50

Will I hear targets from 1 to 50?

Will I hear targets from 40 to 50 and NOT 1 thru 40 (the default Iron range)???

I "think" the V-Break overrides Volume (where 10 turns off Iron Vol)
So that with the above settings I would hear the V-Break tone for all 1 - 40 IDs?

In theory if I have :

Disc = 0

Volume at 15

V-Break at 50

I would hear 1 thru 40 as Iron Volume (e.g. 15, so the Iron range of 1 thru 40 would be half as loud as targets with IDs over 40)
I would hear 40 thru 50, with the V-Break sound, but equal loudness as targets with IDs above 50, just v-break sound?

maybe I'm thinking about this too much?? Lol. Back to work I guess.

Need more coffee.

Happy Hunting folks!

V-Break does not override the volume...

Volume 10....VBreak 50 = nothing 1-40....low tone 41-50....VCO 50-99

In your second scenario....Volume 15....Vbreak 50...

1-40 would be half as loud low tone.....41-50 would be max loud low tone....50-99 would be max loud VCO.

Perfect! Thank you!

I like the vbreak and volume features. But can be tricky. Lol
