F2 gets a ring

Hightone

New member
I have only played with the F2 around the house. Took it to a local ball field today as wife wanted me to leave for an hour so she could clean. Was out for about an hour and a half. The F2 loves tabs and doesn't kindly place them in the tab segment. Many hit hard as nickels. But what also hit as a nickel was a 14K gold ring about 3" down. Silver is perfect on the segments. Now if I can just remember what number was displayed.

Thats simply outstanding! Very nice snag there man! That ring is about as hard as they get to find...right smack in the nickle/pulltabs! Hats off to you Sir! Well done!:please:

Yeah. I like the feeling. I just had our jeweler friend appraise it. 1.7 grams of 14K, gold dealers probably pay $25 for it as meltdown. But he said as a ring, he just sold one just like it for $118.

Plus the 60 cents in clad. Not a bad little hunt.

Yeah? 1.7gr? Thats a very tough target!, dont sell it for scrap..thats an easy 50 dollar bill in any bar in the world!... your jeweler is gonna get 50 bucks for it as melt...14K is roughly 25 bucks per gr at the moment..and gold has hit the bottom for a while I think...if you watch the 5yr trend anyway.. Real proud of you Man...theres lifers that would not have hit that signal with high end gear!:please:

Excellent!
Gold is great...pulling it from a field of similar junk targets is greater.
