I hunt school grounds and playgrounds. I am no pro but have been detecting for almost 20 years & I found that most detectors get about the same depth, at least all the different ones I have had do. I haven't had enough time with the F2 yet to give an honest depth capability. It would be nice if we could get up to 12" deep with a detector but if you really think about it would digging 12" holes all day be fun, it would be more like work. Sure I like finding old coins, but a day out with my wife taking turns with the detector finding some clad and some jewelry & chasing my 4 year old son around the park is fun and that is what's important to me. can i ask where do ya hunt most of the time?..i want it for trashy parks where separation is key,but have to tell ya i dont have a lot of confidence in it's ability to get decent depth,so i am hoping as i use it i will discover it's got the goods!..it's one thing to get between the trash, but ya need the depth too!..the silver GENERALLY is a little deeper, and i dont want to find out i bought a clad getter!
