Hi Folks, Just looking for opinions on wether a daytrip to the beach here in UK is worthwhile financially speaking??? I live about 80 miles from the popular eastcoast beaches that are the closest to my location. I know that might not seem far to you guys across the pond, But its about an hour n half drive here but the problem is petrol/gas priced here is about

backacheUK one of the first things I learned in the metal detecting school of hard knocks, is that there's no guarantees when it comes to metal detecting :surrender:

That said, the F4 will actually fare fairly well at the beach, it'll hunt the salt sand with a reduced sensitivity and you can hunt the dry sand with the sensitivity cranked up. There's a fellow on here that used to beach hunt exclusively with the F4 on Southern California beaches and he found plenty of loot in both the dry and wet sand.

Enjoy your trip, and let us know how you make out

Brian
