F4-ing in the Snow

backacheUK

New member
Well today looked to be a good day for detecting apart from the cold temperature, So I decided to risk it as anyone who knows UK weather any type is possible no matter what season...Anyway I went to one of my regular hunt sites, A grassed field that is used annually for the travelling fair & a general recreation site besides a very old church. I decided to concentrate on a small area that I haven't searched before due to long grass last summer but with the help of grazing horses & a few ground frosts this winter the grass was perfectly short. So there I was ready for a good few hours hunting armed with my F4 & Garrett pinpoint probe. Straight away first find 1p=modern penny followed quickly by a 2p Then a Chubby =

WTG backache,I have used my f4 in the snow before, just cover the box with a gallon ziplock bag to keep the water out.You really have a coin you call a chubby??LOL
