F44 has boost?

Wow a low frequency machine with boost is right up my alley. Can't wait to see or hear more.

I am very interested in seeing exactly what this unit is all about.
A Fisher with disc that can be brought into shallow fresh water or get caught in the rain without worrying.
Not to mention all the alleged features it is supposed to have, the real ones listed in this ad and we will see what else...plus maybe a backlight.

Could be a game changer in the mid level price point but we will see.

Same ad showa the face with Backlight and boost. Jewelry, Coin, Artifact, Custom, and AM modes. Fe and depth bars. And boost!

I just hope the thing has a gyro-stabilized cup holder.
Tired of spilling my beer when I hunt.

Maybe not Dave, but with the features it does have, It seems like it would be much better than the F44 it replaces. I for one, think the iron volume is a feature that many detectors will start (or should be) using in the future. I also love fact that it is weatherproof as well as the 2 AA battery idea. So if it gets say 20 hours (total guess) on a pair of batteries, that means for .99 (sunbeam AA's at dollar tree) I can get 4 alkaline batteries & get 40 hours of hunting?? As opposed to paying $7 for two 9 volts in the F4 that gets 20-25 hours on? Sign me up, lol.

F22-$229 F44-$349 (non discountable list pricing like the Eurotek Pro)

Available May 18th.

Hightone,
Looks like I'm going to ditch the Gamma for on of these. The wife is doing good with it but doesn't like that it doesn't save the settings.

The Gamma has the most common settings, the F44 just some new ones. Boost and FeTone (used more for relics). It does have a "sexier" looking screen and has a light. Consider also that the conductivity scale for the F44 divides gold and silver into 80 separate numeric IDs over only 60 for the Gamma. The Gamma uses it's first 39 numbers as iron targets instead of the first 19 for the F44. If you are an "iron discriminator" you'll have more to work with with the F44. Again, ground gard doesn't work at salt water but the manual ground balance will take you to salt. And I know she wants a light machine as well. And if she uses segment descriptors like nickel, quarter, pull tabs, zinc, etc., the F44 appears to have an international scale where it's knowing the numerics only, like the ETP. No big deal, but some rely on them.

So I agree that it seems like more of what she wants. Of course I knew that once she started using the Gamma over the Coinmaster GT, she'd get the MD fever.:super:

i guess Fisher will clear it up about Boost or not prior to official release.

Meanwhile, I'd like to know for sure if it balances all the way to salt manually.

It's on the screen of the detector.
thank you duh. found it. again thanks!

Only problem with that is that there's always the posibility that the screen they took a picture of isn't the final screen of the released production qualified machine. You neve rknow with these thigs, ,arketing departments, ad agencies.
Better wait for the official release to be sure.

Just sayin - been down this road before with all kind sof products!

Picture of screen in Kellyco ad doesn't show 'Boost' function ... guess we'll know soon enough.

Well the updated sell sheets that came out today have the boost removed in them. Oh well, at least we know it's being considered on the 7.69kHz platform.

I have a sneaking feeling we may see it on the Omega. HH jim tn

I suggested to Dave J. a few years ago that an Omega with boost mode, an adjustable backlight (love the red one on the F19) and a trigger would be a home run, I hope he took it to heart for the Omega 8500 (or whatever they decide to call it). Oh and DST would also be great!
