F44 results

I received a new 7 inch concentric coil for my Fisher F44 trying to thin down my Bottle cap finds . It did work better its not fool proof but better than my DD coils were . It worked really nice on the F44 .Here's some finds from yesterday and some coins out of back yard night before . Also a picture of where we were detecting downtown Kansas city at Liberty Memorial . Super lots of trash in the area as it has a lot of events there during the year . There was three of us detecting all non pro's , we dug a total of 28 coins and lots of junk . The metal is a special Olympic's metal .

These are the other guys finds yesterday from our Liberty memorial hunt .

It seems of late that more and more old church key caps are hitting like good targets.
............................... It must have reached the time point when their all rusting more in the ground, and leaching out the area around them. So the detectors see them more..

A concentric coil will help on all model Fishers, but unfortunately some at certain depths will still hit like a good target. So will the older 60's original pull tabs at around 5- 6 inches and deeper.

Man, I know that place well and have been there many times.
I scoured the curb strip on both sides, hit the grassy areas where the picnic tables are and further in, even the large grassy area behind to the right where you stood and took that pic.
I found tons of clad, some junk rings and jewelry, nothing in precious metal from what I can remember but a few older wheaties and several pot pipes in my travels.
I also found plenty of coins in that wide blvd. but in the heat of the summer sun not much fun to hunt there so I tended to stay near and under the trees along the sides.
Our club had meetings there all the time so the place has been searched well but there is still plenty to be found.
I was searching that big grassy area behind you that I mentioned near the sidewalk at one of our meetings and got a huge and loud signal so I got curious and dug it.
About 8" deep I found a big bronze memorial plate that had the name of a tree and a name of a family that dedicated that tree.
No hint of a tree in that area at all and not even a stump but there was one there at one time in the past.
This large, thick and heavy plate was cemented and anchored in the ground well so no recovering this thing but it would have been cool to dig up and give to the parks dept. If I could.
To the left of where you were standing up and over the hill in the flat area where the big statue stands, the one named Pioneer Women I believe, is an area with a huge amount of trash but members of our club have found lots of great rings there in the past because this is a site where they have concerts and thousands of people have hung around all over that area.
Foil, tabs, pop tops and can slaw galore but some decent jewelry hiding in all that mess also.

If you go straight back on that road behind you to the main street you will pass the fenced in dog park area before you leave the park.
That area is where some homes used to stand long ago and where many veterans and their families lived after WW2.

On the other side of that wide Blvd.on your left at the end where there is a small parking lot and a few picnic tables is where we held our meetings and also very trashy but I have found lots of coins and some decent jewelry too like a titanium ring.
Here is a long and funny story about that ring I found after one of our meetings in that exact area.

I loved this park, lots of history, lots of fun hunting it and now I live about 800 miles away from it but I will always have those memories.
As much as I and everyone else hunted there I am sure we left you guys plenty of great stuff to find so hit it again sometime.

That's great I was hunting mostly along the trees and shad also . The other boys were covering more ground than I was cause I'm crippled really bad anymore with bad Knees so I hunt and dissect small heavily used areas anymore and it has to be pretty smooth for me . we got in the open area to the right of the road driving in but not very much sun was to hot stayed mostly close to shaded area where the benches were at .We went over to the baseball field area for awhile but it was so trashy all we was finding there was beer caps and trash . John went up on top of the hill above the ball field and walked around the top then back down and only found a couple coins . we did best by trees and benches up along main road . John got on the side coming along the main road coming out and all he could hit up there was these little beads from necklaces they had passed out at Rock fest . He didn't stay there long as they were driving him crazy ringing up so pretty . We never got over by the fountain that's where the main Rock fest was at we were more where they parked the cars . I don't detect that far over very often as I live in Liberty and the traffic is not pleasant in town , but I was with two other guys and my youngest Son did my driving . I hunt mainly Liberty and Gladstone area's and north Kansas city they are closer for me . Thanks for your info ..

I said that wrong about where the Rockfest was it was over next to Main street my son says he was there just across from the federal reserve building . And I said Fountain but its a statue I meant to say , haven't been in that area yet .
