F5...11" DD coil

I have a F5 and was looking at the Omega....But the funds aren't here right now. A coil may be in the picture. I was wondering being the F5 and Omega are so close to each other if the 11"DD coil would have the same effect on the F5 as it does on the Omega? I read were the Omega with the DD coil was hitting dimes at 10-13 inches.

Terry I been using the 11DD on the F5 for about 6months now and I can say you will get a little more depth than the stock coil but you also loose the richness of the tones that the F5 is capable of with the stock coil. The last hunt I had I switched from the 11 DD to 5DD because of the trash I was encountering. The 11 DD will give you noticeable target separation with a little added depth over the 10 elliptical in my ground in VA. I typically hunt in d2 because I rarely coin hunt. All the posts you have read with the omega 08 getting extreme depth with the 11 dd may be true but I have not experienced it with my F5. I don't have the 08 but I am going to get the gold bug to see how it does. A couple of weeks ago I hunted with a friend with an XLT and we compared every target in the field the F5 was hit every target the XLT did and he hit all of mine. The 5 DD does very well in the field with much greater separation than a concentric but you will loose some depth but it still effective to 6 inch +.

I found that around my area I could pull dimes and pennies out at 8 inches with a soft lite tone that told me there was a deeper coin down there. I don't know what the DD coil would do for me. But I thought if it would get me close to the Omega in depth then I'll save about $600 and just buy a DD for my F5.
