F5 and gold rings...

Usually will hit harder and give a solid meter number compared to tabs and foil....Don't notch out foil as about 1/3 of your gold rings come in this area...
 
Yeah, I am still waiting on that solid foil hit that doesn't ping around all over the meter.

Take a gold ring and pass the coil over it se what the target ID reads and watch the ground phase readout. Now do the same with foil or can slaw that has a similar target ID to the ring and watch the ground phase. In the areas I hunt the ground phase will consistently read lower over a gold target than a trash target, even when the target ID might be the same #. Mike Hillis posted this originally, its another way to help you distinguish between good and bad target.
