F5 vs F70

Wondering if you Fisher people could share some imput on these to models for coin and jewerly hunting. Pros and cons etc.

F=70

Very good usable depth
Dual threshold for target size control
Accurate Id
Fast Grab Ground balance
Light weight and easy to swing
A number of coils available at decent pricing

The most important thing I have found after using the higher end F series..The 70 operates more stable. I have never used a F-5.. so no help there.
I was extremely surprised at the great operation of the F-70.

I've got an F5 and love this machine, never used an F70 so I can't really give you a comparison of one to the other. My brother has an F75 and we do a lot of hunting together and these machines get about the same depth and I don't feel I'm losing any advantage with my F5. My suggestion would be both machines would work well, go with the one you get the best deal on.

I have a 70, the machine has, does, preformed just like all the reviews. I'm still learning with it.I would say from what I have read on the f5 it preforms too. What still looking said-------best deal-------------after1-------

I have tonstons of experience with th F2, found a fantastic amount of great targets.
Switched to the F70 and that streak continued and never let up.
Using the million settings possible I have seen almost unbelievable depth and target separation that is superb that has helped me to find treasure in some very difficult and challenging sites and all with 3 different coils too.
All Fisher units are eye opening jaw-dropping machines once you learn the language.

There's a give and take for both models. The F5 has a screen full of info running all the time, is not menu driven but full analog. The draw back is you have to set it up each time you hunt. The F70 is digital menu driven and saves your settings. The F5 is 7.8khz the F70 13khz making the F70 a little more sensitive to smaller objects, but the F5 has gain control which helps to adjust for smaller objects. The F70 has volume control. It is also a bit lighter.

I loved my F5 for almost 7 years. But if I had to choose again between the two, I'd choose the F70. The F70/F75 process and coils seem to be a notch above the lower F units and are rarer to see traded or sold.

F70 I had became very unstable to get depth...F5 probably the only of the F series with little or no instability to get depth. F5 holds most of the settings but the few it does not takes seconds to setup once you get the hang of it...I understand the F70 and F75 have more shielding in newer models so less instability...but never used the new improved models..
