I have been using my F5 with the 11 inch dd coil for a couple of weeks now and the more I use it, the more impressed I am. Today I went to a school built in 1958 and has not been detected much at all. I found several silver dimes and some wheats a couple of weeks back, but I have not been able to get back because of weather and the fields being in use. I got a great day today and I got to tired because I dug too many coins. This had not happened in a long while and it reminds me of the "old days". You just don't find too many spots like this anymore. Long story short, I dug four coins today that were extremely deep. These coins were 8 to 9 inches deep! One silver roosie, one wheat, one silver quarter, and one 1965 clad quarter. I ended up with another silver dime and three more wheats. Funny thing about the other dime and two of the wheats. They were only 3 to 4 inches deep. The ground phase was only 56 so I hunted with the gain at 75 and threshold at +1. Being able to get these two setting in this range seems to be the ticket for digging deep coins. This is one sweet setup. When I dumped my trash pouch, it only had 7 or 8 pieces of junk in it. With that said, the F5 with the big dd coil is a great setup. R.L.
