F70 help??

Hello everyone I've been learning my F70 and finding coins but I wanted to know what exactly does the disc setting do?? I know that the higher you set it the more junk it will cut out and only pick up good stuff but I guess my question is how high can you set it without losing any depth or disc out coins??

hi there Steve..
--the more you cut the more you will loose ,- in grass or turf detecting conditions I would go for a low sense/high disc combination
when the question of depth is crucial or when you are looking for thin gold - use "tones" to make the "disc in or disc out" job.
Try to balance power output with the right combo of sens and threshold,---- remember the importance of a correct GB and try avoiding the use of Notch.....
good luck and happy hunting
trond
