Has anyone used F70 in fresh water? Not on the beach, in the water. Has anyone made it water-proof packaging for f70?
I thinking about some modification, and use F70 backup waterhunt detector. In freshwater wading.

All ideas will be appreciated. :beers:

i think in Aquapac and cable clam combo.

Little interest in the topic after. Really sad.

Many people use the F70 on the beach. No one went into the water?
I can not believe it, but if it does, then I'll be the first.

Does anyone know the stock 10" coil is submersible?

Probably nobody wanted to have you put your 70 in a danger of getting kilt...I take mine out into fresh water with the 11"dd all the time...of course I keep a foot of air between the controls and the surface, and will not risk heavy wave action. the "fins" on top of the coil make it difficult to swing, BUT a fellow can walk briskly along the edge of the surf, right where that little trough is, and just hold the coil at an angle and by dang clean that area out fast! Its faster and easier to walk with the coil out in front than to swing it..If this F70 was just a little bit waterproof, it would be the Perfect machine I think. Good Luck, if theres a way in the water will find it.

Been thinking all night about your post, timmysys...you gonna take the control box and power pack off the shaft and put them in the bag right? So you just have the coil wire coming out the bottom, and the headphone jack out the top?

Thank you Mudpuppy that you're thinking on the subject.
I think that this is an interesting task. Be packed in a secure manner. Not impossible task.

Correct, I thinking about something similar solution.

Maybe there is no need to power pack. I'm going to take pieces apart. Four-wire cable coming out of it. Turn on the detector and set the volume. Is it doing something else? I don't know.
